The third tallest building only to Shanghai Tower and Shanghai World Financial Center in mainland China, Jin Mao Tower, also known as "The Golden Prosperity Building," is located in the center of Lujiazui Finance and Trade Zone in Pudong. The 88-stories Jin Mao Tower was completed in 1999. It is 420.5 meters (almost 1380 feet) tall and covers an area of 2.3 hectares (5.68 acres). The architect, Adrian D. Smith, of the Chicago firm of Skidmore, Owings & Merrill, ingeniously combined the elements of traditional Chinese culture with the newest architectural styles of the time, which makes it one of the best-constructed buildings in China. This building includes modern offices, a deluxe 5-star hotel - the Grand Hyatt Shanghai, exhibition halls, banquet halls, an observation deck, and entertainment facilities. Since July 2016, Jin Mao Tower offers the service, “wander in the cloud” whereby visitors can walk along a 66-yard-long (60-meter-long) and 1.3-yard-wide (1.2-meter-wide) glass skywalk without rails. It’s located on the 88th sightseeing floor. From there, visitors can get a sweeping view of the sceneries on the banks of Huangpu River. Available as 8 x 11 or 11 x 17 b & w or color photograph or watercolor print on Hahnemuhle Museum Etching Fine Art Inkjet Paper, and each photograph is personally approved and hand-signed by the artist.
